INTAMAC

INTERIM CTO

THE CUSTOMER

Intamac simplifies the way people connect with information from devices around their home with their modular turnkey IoT connected home platform. They were one of the first companies to introduce connected devices that, as a result of their connectivity, are able to deliver enhanced performance and improved brand experiences.

THE BRIEF

Intamac required an interim CTO to see through essential projects whilst they secured a permanent hire for the position. It was essential that this person had both the technical skills required and an ability to quickly grasp their projects and processes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

An interim CTO to work full time in the role with the following experience:

  • Technical requirements - Embedded (Linux and FreeRTOS), Cloud (AWS including their IoT product) and Mobile (native Android and iOS).
  • Business requirements - ability to run a team and solid engineering processes.

“Very few companies would have the breadth of technical knowledge and solid engineering practices to be able to help on this project, we were extremely grateful for James’s support.”

Geoff Littlewood,

Operations Director at Intamac Systems

THE SOLUTION

One of our Directors, James Green, provided the answer. He knew the Intamac solution through various projects the Green Custard team had completed for them, which in turn meant he was familiar with their processes and project management practices from the off. James’ expertise in embedded, cloud, and mobile software ensured he was technically a perfect fit too.

James provided technical and architectural guidance, team cohesion, as well as some improvements to process and practices during this period. This saw the team develop a major upgrade of their solution to two key clients, a successful delivery which made a material difference to Intamac’s prospects.

“This was a great challenge to work on and leading the seamless delivery of Intamac’s projects whilst they found the right person for the permanent role was extremely satisfying.” - James Green, Director, Green Custard
