Winmau is the largest manufacturer of premium bristle dartboards and military grade tungsten darts in the world. Winmau has been established for over 65 years and is a truly global company exporting to over 70 countries worldwide. They are the brand of choice of leading darts organisations worldwide including the UK, South Africa, Belgium, Australia, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, Turkey and the Philippines.
THE BRIEF
As a leading provider of dart boards and darts, Winmau saw an opportunity to reinforce their brand through the production of a series of mobile apps. GC went about producing an iOS Darts Scorer app, which would work well on both iPad and iPhones.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Following on from the success of the Darts Scorer, Red Dragon Darts, a brand owned by Winmau, approached us to produce a simple product catalogue app.

THE SOLUTION
We made an excellent development partner for Winmau because of our extensive experience with developing mobile applications.
For the Darts Scorer our graphic designers worked to produce something in keeping with traditional electronic scorers whilst fitting with Winmau’s overall brand. The app was implemented as a native Universal iOS app, meaning the it took full advantage of screen space available on the iPad and iPad mini.
In both cases our team decided on the best technical approach, to match the app budgets and user expectations, and delivered apps that met expectations on time and budget.
